SUMMARY:Making the Invisible Visible
DESCRIPTION:Just because you haven’t experienced harassment (yet) doesn’t mean it isn’t happening\, and just because it’s common doesn’t mean it should be ignored. \nThe ACM-W chapter is organising a 1.5-hour open discussion “Making the Invisible Visible”\, facilitated by Beatriz Cabrero-Daniel\, about the realities of our division and university culture: the issues we can no longer overlook\, the experiences that often go undocumented\, and the changes we want to see\, starting with ourselves and our student community.\n📅 Date: February 17\, 2026\n⏰ Time and Venue: 13:00–14:30 Jupiter 520 (Fika will be served) \nThis session is for everyone.\nIf you have stories or experiences you’d like to share\, we want to hear them.\nIf you don’t\, you are still very welcome. Listening\, reflecting\, and brainstorming together are just as important. \nThis is a first step toward a healthier work and learning environment and a culture we can be proud to shape together.

SUMMARY:ACM-W Creative Winter Gathering – Wood Carving for a Peaceful Future
DESCRIPTION:Big changes often bring stress\, and creativity can be a powerful way to heal and reconnect. With this in mind\, Sara Ljungblad  kindly proposed a beautiful and creative winter activity\, which we are delighted to host under the ACM Women Chapter Gothenburg.\nWe warmly invite you to join us for a unique and joyful crafting afternoon where we will carve small handmade Christmas gifts together. These gifts can be playful\, symbolic\, or artistic. Perhaps we will redesign a Christmas tree in an entirely new way—one where funny mushrooms\, a sweet heart\, a silent bird\, coat hooks\, or even a strange door handle become part of the tree. Maybe it will turn into a very pink Christmas tree\, or even a “Williams pear tree”—who knows? Our imagination is truly the limit 😊\nWe may also choose to create something entirely different—let the creativity flow!\n📅 Date: Monday\, December 15\n🕒 Time: Starting at 15:00\, for a few hours\n📍 Place: Krutbacken\, Kviberg\nWe will be guided by Anders Lindberg\, wood-carving expert\, and Maral Babapour\, also a carving expert from the Institute of Stress Medicine\, who will join us.\nWelcome to an afternoon at KRUTBACKEN where the carving expert Anders Lindberg\, will show us how to carve in wood. Maral Babapour\, another carving expert\, from the institute of Stressmedicin\, will also join us.
